On the 14th May 2016 I held a free workshop for children and their parents at the Gabriel Vanrell Gallery in Palma. During the 2 hour workshop they explored the artworks in the exhibition, discussed themes on genetic information and risk, and created a large collaborative artwork. They individually lay onto the large, white paper whilst their friends surrounded their outline with coloured fingerprints, like health practitioners analysing the virtual patient. They then collectively filled in the details of each child, creatively or actually, sometimes turning them into monsters whilst other times faithfully copying the pattern on their clothes, or putting flowers in their hair. It was such a fun workshop that received excellent coverage in the local press !
